Gameplay:
- Added new Mining and Woodcutting world activities. Although these are more aligned with nation / faction amenities, some nodes will be available throughout the world. They are pretty simple, meaning that you just go up with the correct tool and break it like you would in the vanilla game - except the drops have been significantly altered for mining, along with the addition of custom nodes (a lot more custom ones are coming soon). As an amenity, mines also have the option to be branched into different specialisations, allowing nations and factions to customise their resource output. There will be further details when the Land System is dropped on the wiki officially.
- There are some new NPC vendors in Manaan Port, just to aid with supplying resources and items that are not currently obtainable given world restrictions or mob restrictions. However, these items will be used in some custom crafting.
- All regular, vanilla fish are now obtainable in most biomes (with some variation). This is to also align with some custom crafting recipes.
- Join messages have also been fixed for new players, where it would not show up for some reason. This was due to an issue with one of our plugins conflicting with another, and was actually just a simple config fix.
- A new section has been added to World Activities for Mining / Woodcutting, as well as Slaying. Slaying is just referring to the PvE sites that most are already familiar with, but it will more broadly cover additional PvE sites when those get implemented. You can read these under Mechanics > World Activities, on the Wiki.
- A new section for 'Locking' has been added under the Locking and Breaking Locks page, also viewable under Mechanics > World Activities, on the Wiki. This just runs through all the commands and detailed information pertaining to locks and how they work.
- Druidism has been fully implemented in the Wiki, viewable under Concepts > Druidism. Initially, only the history and prologue was available. But now, all abilities and how the magic works has been detailed. Not all lore has been implemented for it, obviously to still allow some element of surprise and intrigue to the eventlines, but there should be enough information to fully understand it now.
- The Getting Started guide on the Wiki has received a major update, courtesy of CCARKUSS. There were several areas that were outdated or lacking information, which align with our most recent updates. These have been remedied, and now all information should be up to date. We'll be staying on top of this, and ensure that it remains updated so that it is a valuable resource of all players.
- Staff Applications section has also been added to the Forums, viewable under Applications. We're eagerly hoping for more help with the Mortals & Mythos project, and so are trying to recruit for (most) staff teams. If you want to help out or pitch in, toss your application in! We appreciate any and all interest.
Building:
- Manaan has the new addition of a Tier 2 Mines. This is located out behind the windmill. The build is courtesy of MotherChai.
- Manaan also has with it the new addition of a Tier 1 Lumber Camp. This is located out the tunnel gates and off to the right, by the beach.
- More Tideguard and citizen NPCs have been added to Manaan, following some recent events and developments within roleplay - this should more accurately reflect the rearming of the guards.
Other:
- Some minor optimisation and internal work has been done to help staff with various things, but nothing major. Just lil' fixes and improvements.
Known Issues:
- The issue with show item still remains where if you show an item, there is a small period of time (a couple minutes) before you can show a different item. Struggling to fix this one. I have to recode the functionality directly into our existing chat system. So may take a lot longer than expected - but I am working on it!
Coming Soon:
- PvE / mechanical representation for magic users is coming very soon... Super excited to be showing this off. The implementation of it will also allow us to adapt it to other magics and increase our pool of available kits when facing PvE.
- The Foraging world activity with various nodes are being worked on by one of our other technicians, Mycelium.
- The Cooking update is on the horizon, also being worked on by one of our other technicians, Quaack.
- The Blacksmithing update is currently also being worked on.
