Basic Questions
Why do you want to formalize a guild?
A desire to create and share lored items (drinks/consumables) with the playerbase. To create lasting flavor lore which can remain in circulation for an extended period. The tavern, hosted by Atticus (ElevatorMusic), is a focus point of daily roleplay and to be able to supply players with whimsical and creative consumables which their characters can then go on to prefer/dislike/be allergic to and so on, is a way in which lore can be injected into roleplay.
What events or special roleplay do you foresee your guild participating in or hosting?
The plan is to construct a shared space within the guild building where the group may host a variety of events for players and nobles in the format of social events (e.g parties/celebrations) or contests (e.g drinking contests). Lessons may also be extended to characters for them to learn brewing both mechanically and in roleplay.
In what way(s) do you feel your guild can contribute to the city of Vaelyn or to the overarching server story?
As stated above, injecting lore, however small, is the wider goal. To add flavor to players rp with mundane items and such that they can get- only provided by this group of individuals. They may be able to host events for nobles or for city officials, and may be able to support other guilds (e.g celebrations after a large event, for example.)
Is your guild in conflict with any particular individual or group?
No, unless someone decides to be drink-making competition.

Guild History Summary:
Forged through a mutual acquaintance, Genoveva Bellecote, the guild came to be through three like minded individuals.
First was Atticus Highwind, a tavern keep whose business, The Golden Chalice, originated within the Port of Manaan. The central tavern for all things drink and shady. On the relocation to Vaelyn, he was the one to seek out and to take control of the tavern within the Hearth district.
Then there was Genoveva Bellecotte. A Noble with a family history in wine making, who had a love for chai. Her business, Port of Call, had functioned from the vineyards of her manor within New Sansretour.
Finally, Aleksander Ilardi. The second noble of the pair with a similar history in wine making, with the addition of coffee.
The three together encompass a plentiful array of knowledge to brew, boil and create a vast amount of beverages, perhaps even with culinary pieces mixed together here and there.
Having come to know the two of them on their individual terms, Genoveva sought to bridge the gap, introducing the pair through their mutual appreciation of drinks. Initially, Genoveva had planned to work with the Golden Chalice and Atticus to provide him with the produce she created. Aleksander, under his own lead, had claimed a stall within the Quint district to sell his own creations: coffee.
This sparked an idea- a plan- an intention. Why work individually, on the same purpose? Why not group together, find a suitable space large enough to house their endeavours, and reach to be the largest provider of drinks- alcoholic and not- to the continent. Genoveva’s own business lay dormant for the time being, requiring an overhaul in appearance and purpose but, for now, the bottles she provided the tavern were at least sealed with the business name.
The first hurdle was to introduce the two, to draw them together in a meeting to pitch the plan. With this underway, the paperwork could begin.
