The Monthly Briefing is a few days late. We know. Maybe it’s part of the charm by now, a relic of the old way, or maybe it’s just... life. Either way, here it is: slightly late, but full of substance. Consider it our way of letting things breathe, because after all, that’s what last month was really about. November was a rest month for the crew. We called for a mandated 1-2 week staff break after the intense rebranding. A chance to reset and, frankly, remember what daylight looks like. So this briefing might not have the usual heft, but let’s make it count.
You spoke, we listened. By popular request and after plenty of internal discussion, PlotSquared is coming. Think of it as the city planning department finally giving the green light—plots, corners, a blank canvas ready to fill with whatever madness your hearts desire. Configuration is still underway, but once it’s ready, everyone’s invited to start building. And for those with a Supporter rank, there may be a little extra corner reserved just for you.
Separate Inventories
Multiverse Inventories have been set up across worlds. No more endless scrambles, no more loopholes in the transfer matrix. It’s all separated now, like each dimension gets its own little wardrobe. Consider it a safety net, a way to keep everything ready for the future: MythicDungeons, Creative World, map shifts. Transitioning becomes a thing of ease, and for once—staff won't need to crawl through inventory data to keep order. Futureproofing, it’s what we’re all about.
Player Workshops
December started with a bang. Or rather, a workshop. Our first-ever Player Workshop took place on the 1st, a proper forum for voices to rise, ideas to clash, and for progress to be made. This time, it was about the Rolling System and Character Progression, and the depth we dove into was staggering. Proposals from staff were accepted; the people spoke, and we listened. Expect the formal write-ups soon—once the red tape of formatting clears, it’ll all be there, in black and white.
Progression Changes
Speaking of Player Workshops—Character Progression is here. Characters grow, evolve, change. No one stays static, and it’s time our world reflected that. Look out for the detailed rulings soon. It’s evolution, baby, and your stories will only grow from here.
New Store
Ah yes, capitalism, our old friend. After the rebrand, our store has officially shifted to the new site, a clean slate for all things purchasable. In the next few weeks, we’ll be looking at what’s on offer—we’re introducing a “Pioneer” BETA rank, the spiritual successor to the “Founder” ALPHA rank. And for those wondering about the in-game Token Shop? We hear you. It’s time to make it truly worthwhile. The grind deserves better rewards.

Administration
Administration’s business is oiling the machine. It’s all maintenance, all oversight, ensuring every team gets its share of the gears—greased and turning. It’s about controlling the chaos without choking it, ensuring projects get the green light but also that someone remembers to flick the switch. New store page, community pillars, terms of service—what do they have in common? They're not glamorous, but they're essential. The spine that keeps the rest upright.- Updated Store Page:
- Transferred the old Tebex to the new, located here.
- Community Pillars:
- Created and uploaded the Community Pillars, located here.
- Terms of Service:
- Created and uploaded the Terms of Service, located here.
- Project Approval:
- General project management and approval, providing greenlight to large scale projects such as the upcoming ST Chronicles and CRP, Racial Modules and Lore, Holiday Builds, Content Creation and New Player integration, and new Plugin Requests.
Development
Development has been busy taking the rough edges and grinding them down, retooling features like an old mechanic fixing up a jalopy that’s not quite street legal. There's a certain pragmatism in these updates: plugins, permissions, patches—think of it as finding a way to make the world just that little bit less finicky. We made inventories less of a headache and brought some order to the forum, giving everyone a few less reasons to swear at their screens.- Forum Development:
- Optimisations and implementation of a few quality of life features, such as the ability to now @ping roles themselves, the spinning discord logo, and other smaller adjustments.
- Plugin Updates:
- Adjustment of a few configuration files and previous settings, such as /spawn timers and role listings.
- New Plugins:
- Implementation and configuration of Multiverse-Inventories as well as the purchasing and implementation of PlotSquared, ready to be configured.
- RPSuite Patches:
- Tweaks to RPSuite, including adjustments to reflect the new Rolling System and Character Progression changes.
- Permission Fixes:
- Updates to various staff and player permissions, including a permission granting players the ability to use colours in their MC books and tools to help staff do their job more easily.
Moderation
Moderation's been keeping the trains running on time, or trying to. Server rules rolled out, regions were cleaned up, homes granted—it’s more like city zoning than some grand narrative. This month, we've been the quiet architects of living space: putting down nodes, fixing NPC quirks, handling tickets, policing The Long Solace like it's a rogue winter wind. Brew guides are underway. And hidden in the dirt? New archeology nodes.- Server Rules:
- Created and uploaded the Server Rules, located here.
- Regioning:
- General upkeep of World Regions, adjusting flags for player housing, and setting The Exaltunate region to Frozen River for the purposes of snow and The Long Solace! Furthermore, the size of the Fishing Spots in The Docks were expanded slightly.
- Housing:
- Providing Housing to players upon request, as well as providing and supervising Limited Creative to permit players to decorate their homes.
- BreweryX Guide:
- Currently working on and developing a full guide for the BreweryX Plugin, including instructions for staff and ST on what is missing/needed for ingredients to make the system work so we can make them possible via Nodes/Fishing/Arch drops.
- NPC Interactions:
- Pathing and skin problems with NPCs fixed throughout Vaelyn, as well as beginning research and practice with the Interactions Plugin which will allow NPCs to be used in a variety of new ways, including branching dialogue trees and NPC quests.
- Ticket Handling:
- General ticket handling for player requests and troubleshooting.
- Nodes:
- An additional hidden Archaeology Node has been placed in, as well as development on the next set of Archaeology sites for rotation when the time comes. Furthermore, Mining Nodes saw some adjustments to ensure they were working properly, and all Node drops were reported to ST for re-review of Lore and rarity.
Story
The Story team’s been navigating the fall of empires and the minutiae of magic, shuffling the deck for what comes next. It’s not just big moments—the Fall of Manaan, the grand events—it’s the weight behind every magic roll, the crafting of character arcs that feel earned. Focus Groups debate magic like philosophers wondering if the world's made of atoms or epicycles. Techniques evolve, pets get biographies, and Vaelyn's lore begins to leak through cracks, slip by slip. Everything breathes; it has to.- Fall of Manaan:
- Execution of the Fall of Manaan event series, specifically the final transition event which led everyone from Elsar to Manaan.
- Item Rebalance:
- Following transition, re-loring and rebalancing/scaling all items crossing from Elsar to Vaelyn, as well as updating formatting to match new standard.
- Focus Groups:
- Implementation of Focus Groups to discuss upcoming lore changes with relevant players. Currently, our Focus Groups are Magic and Races.
- Player Workshop:
- Implementation and execution of Player Workshops, notably surrounding the Rolling System and Character Progression.
- Rolling System:
- Complete overhaul of the CRP, Stats and Rolling, and combat pages previously located onto one document.
- Technique Progression:
- Balancing and scaling of all Combat Techniques, beginning at Tier 1 and permitting their growth and development to Tier 3 through sufficient RP.
- Character Progression:
- Implementation of a ‘Character Tier’ system, whereby players grow in strength over time while Roleplaying- gaining more Attribute Points and slots for Techniques and Magics.
- Server Events:
- Continued issuance of Server Events, mostly small groups focused at the current time due to workload. Scene and Chapters, mostly, focusing on player requested events through Bounties and Progression RP at this current time.
- Event Progression:
- Official implementation of event terminology, from Scene, Chapter, Arc, Saga, and Chronicle. Further, planned out the next 2-3 years worth of main story direction. This is the overarching intent based on current information, though can and will drastically change with each event depending on player action.
- Naalka Chronicle:
- Development and conclusion of the Naalka Chronicle, with the next few big events planned out and ready to be executed.
- Materials/Ingredients:
- Overview of all currently existing Materials and Ingredients, as well as what can be sourced from Nodes/Fishing/Arch. New lore for each of them as well as the removal of old or addition of new materials/ingredients which do not match new setting or direction.
- Pets/Mounts:
- Overview of all current Pet and Mount models, and creation of lore for each of them.
- Spellcraft Analysis:
- In-depth analysis of current Spellcrafting, its limitations, benefits, drawbacks, as well as breaking it by min-maxing as hard as possible to see the ultimate strengths of it. This is done to see what needs balancing and fixing, which will then be used as a framework to create all other magics off of.
- Nobility/Guilds:
- Vaelyn Lore:
- While the City Lore document has yet to be released, slips of information have been revealed as discovered in roleplay, such as the Legal Code and Government Structure.
Community
Community's all about laying the breadcrumbs, helping the stragglers find their way home. Halfway between lore and lighthearted fun—updating platforms, sprucing up our social media, running with TikToks and Pathfinders and trailers, because being everywhere at once is just what you do now. We’re trying to find that weird balance between the in-game grit and the bright marketing smile. Seasonal events loom, the ever-present background hum of “getting everyone involved.” If you're feeling lost, we'll be the ones waving from the horizon.- Social Media:
- Soft launch of social media platforms, specifically Tiktok, Instagram, YouTube and Reddit.
- Advertising:
- Updating voting and media links, such as Planet Minecraft, to showcase new builds and features.
- Pathfinders:
- A unique half OOC/half IC Guild dedicated to helping new players with integrating into roleplay and the server as a whole.

- Continuation of content creation projects, such as the Server Trailer.
- Community Events:
- Work alongside Players and ST/Administration for upcoming seasonal themed events.
Design
Design took the Fall of Manaan and turned it into a set piece, every stage a reassembly of ash and chaos. We re-shaped Loch Alun, decorated for The Long Solace, laid the groundwork for Hale's Hold—always prepping for something, whether it's a party or a war. The Valorwell arena stands ready, the Night Market's been given a fresh coat of charm, and when this Chronicle ends, we’ll have just the place to do it. We shape the land to fit the story, one brushstroke of pixel at a time.- Fall of Manaan:
- Creation and implementation of the ‘Fall of Manaan’ event build, including a multi-stage build approach to allow ST and players to progress through the event in a more organic fashion.
- Loch Alun:
- Expanding and deepening the lake around Vaelyn, Loch Alun, as well as general reshaping.
- The Valorwell:
- Implementation, edit, and decoration of The Valorwell arena which can be found on the Eon Peninsula.
- Hale’s Hold:
- Complete overhaul and recreation of Hale’s Hold in preparation for future use.
- Seasonal Decorations:
- Decorations for The Long Solace made around the city, complimenting the biome change to get everyone more festive for the holidays!
- Night Market:
- Update and refresh of the Night Market build in preparation for its return.
- Event Builds:
- Development of various Event Builds for the ST to utilise as we progress to the end of the current Chronicle.
