Which Nobility Type are you applying for?
Genoveva is currently a singular character within an existing family. She has had 1 played sibling, though for personal reasons on the players part, I do not expect them to make a return any time soon. For this reason, she will be applied for under the singular position, with a supporting background of family history.
Why do you want to roleplay a Noble Character?
Genoveva is a character that has existed for a majority portion of my time on the server. She grew as someone who came from a ‘rich girl with nothing’ background to the person responsible for writing, building up and setting up New Sansretour, all through roleplay development. It was something that I was in the midst of putting together before the collapse. Working on various potential ways of function and mechanics to set up the city as something people would be interested in taking part in. It became a crucial part of her story and character personality, and was a project I very much enjoyed working on.
Her roleplay is very centered on supporting ‘her’ people in a selfless manner. It is a style of RP I enjoy, as it helps facilitate other players' RP- it is much less about acquiring a title and rather using it as an avenue to put Gene’s background to use to help guide and progress others roleplay.
How do you feel you can best contribute to the overall story and roleplay quality by having a Noble Character?
Certainly Genoveva is more of a quiet and passive character. She helps and supports others, welcoming them into her space with her resources, and helps them on their endeavours whether it’s business or personal. In small quantities, stories are influenced by what she can give and contribute- snowballing other characters' progressions and furthering their ability to storytell.
Do you intend on using your Noble Character to host events, participate in medium-to-large scale roleplay sequences, and/or to participate in business or guild roleplay?
Social events, celebrations, workshops (lessons, teaching and the likes) are a high possibility and an ultimate goal. Equally, I plan to restart a side project of hers in the form of a business, working alongside the Chalice in distributing lore-based drinks in the tavern setting. Pending a reformat, I also plan to relaunch her own business.
Approximately how active are you in roleplay on a weekly basis?
My activity varies depending on work. A few hours a night to full days can be given depending on the day.

Family Origin: The settlement, lovingly named Whitecliff by its residents, is a small settlement atop white stone cliffs that overlook an ocean. It is a small port town populated by either fishermen or rich individuals who store their boats closeby.

Family Culture: Valian by descent, though as the family split and rebranded, its culture sways, influenced by its surroundings.
Family Trade: Family members each utilize their own skills. However, current skill sets utilized for trade are: Brewing, tailoring, painting and administration.
Family Aspirations: A vague aspiration lingers to regrow what they had achieved within New Sansretour. A manor- a home for any family or friends who required it. Once a family that strived for wealth and coin, this branch of Bellecotte aims to instead share knowledge and arts with the rest of the populace.
Family History Summary:
A family founded on the backs of common folk who sought a better life for their kin. Men turned merchants began to build wealth through their various trade, whilst home makers grew their families. This remained the way of life for the family, which originally began its life as Blanchi, for decades. The house developed its Valian ways as it amassed wealth through merchanting and through work within the offices of higher ups.
The house Blanchi eventually settled into a very traditional Valian family, with very patriarchal values. The husbands made the money- the wives raised the children. While the family never reached for nobility, it teetered on the edge, relishing at the precipice of wealth without the expectations of title.
Of the modern generation, by way of tradition, the family was to pass to the first son. However, the youngest daughter sought more from her life than to just be a pawn for her family. She acknowledged that she had been given a comfortable position in life, but there was much more she could achieve. After parting from her kin through less than amicable terms, Genoveva found the spirit to branch away, settling herself as head of her own branch.
Initially, work was sought within Manaan, utilizing its open markets and her skills in art and tailoring to amass enough coin to settle into a more comfortable home. Eventually, she strayed towards New Sansretour, where she acquired work directly under the Grand Duchess as her go-to for practically anything. Working on laws, structure, income, events and further. She was awarded a title, a manor to call home, and essentially, a settlement to run.
Genoveva extended an invitation to her siblings, inviting them to join her in this similar, but more equal way of life. Her elder sister Evangeline joined her, and together they fell into a comfortable routine. Though all was lost with the destruction of the settlement, progress wiped clean- a loss lamented by the family as a whole.
Now, within Vaelyn, Genoveva considered her family's various options.
Family Backstory:
Founded as a ‘cadet branch’ to the House Blanchi, The House of Bellecote was raised by the youngest of four siblings to the Blanchi line. Genoveva Lucilia, a young woman who sought to make her mark broke from her family to venture anew within the settlement of New Sansretour. With this, she chose to create her own branch with its own standards, expectations and beliefs, free from the strict requirements of her former name.
