Nobility Application
Basic Questions:Why do you want to roleplay a Noble Character?
Personally, I just think that playing a Noble character would be fun. I plan on playing a single noble as my character Rachel, and I was hopeful to shake up the noble rp by being more of a rebellious (yet still lawful) noble. You know, the kind that backs the populous over her fellow nobles and is generally a thorn on the side of any bureaucratic noble organization. Don't want her to do anything illegal or anything of the sort, and Rachel has absolutely no reason to go against the
How do you feel you can best contribute to the overall story and roleplay quality by having a Noble Character?
Aside from the fact that Rachel will likely be much more on the side of advocating for the general playerbase (which I presume most won't be nobles), I think Rachel has potential to become a good economic force, and most importantly a way to shake the status quo of the house of nobles. She overall provides that little bit of bite without being too out of pocket, and is likely to provide an interesting dynamic with other nobles. I don't intend her to be public enemy #1 amongst nobility either, obviously, but I think a bit of the game of politics here could prove very fun for everyone involved.
I also have ideas for some events to hold, which I will go into down in the next question
Do you intend on using your Noble Character to host events, participate in medium-to-large scale roleplay sequences, and/or to participate in business or guild roleplay?
I want to hold a couple joust events, as well as contributing to guilds, both in research and economical factors. I think she's a good catalyst for a lot of good things. As for jousts, I got inspired by the tournament event and I have a little bit of a mini-system draft for them that hooks onto the RoE combat system to make them more interesting and not rely on pure RNG for them to function.
Aside from that, I also want to just be an approachable noble that has a lot of knowledge in magic, and breaks the moulds for a noble, it would be a good full-circle since Rachel is the daughter of two minor nobles from somewhere off Elsar, so coming back to those shoes and making with them something more than what she was expected could prove a super interesting story in the personal level.
Generally speaking though, I want to participate and host events when I can, though I am a busy guy overall.
Approximately how active are you in roleplay on a weekly basis?
Eh... Varies a lot, if you want a number now... I have 6 days and 20 hours of playtime from ever since the new map launched... Do as you will with that number! But with that said, my availability varies wildly, I am in my last year of uni, so there will be times where I'm available a lot and times where I am gonna be MIA cramming projects.
Character Questions:
Character Name: Rachel Spring
Character Post: Here you go!
Family Post (if applicable): None... Yet!
Character Allegiance/Politics: I'd like to believe that Rachel's a bit of a centrist, she's into helping the local economy grow and to help those who need it. She's a young woman, with a lot of ideals, she's also a big advocate for magic and its place amongst the people as a discipline just like any other trade.
Character Faith: Agnostic! She hasn't sat down and wondered about gods and deities, but she's no one to argue about any other religion either.
Character Alignment: Somewhere between True Neutral and Chaotic Good, in that four-way corner.
Character Associations: The Clockwork Phoenix (Her Workshop) and Whatever Mage's Guild Quil wants to do... Hopefully the Eon Circle soon:tm:
