Strength, Perfection, Authority, Power... These were the core tenants of Sariel's family. There was no room for weakness, No place for service, No tolerance for anything but for every family member to strengthen their place in the world. From an early age, Sariel was trained and groomed into being a valuable member of the family. Since before the cataclysm, Sariel's family known as ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ were a clandestine bloodline who were always suspected of dabbling in dark arts, but never exposed. Their secrets kept well guarded under the many veils and fronts they hid behind.
While one might assume Sariel lived a life of luxury, The truth of the matter was Sariel's upbringing was often cruel and laden with hardship. Sariel wasn't born a cruel person, In his youth, he was a gentle and kind soul. Someone who lived with an optimistic view of both the world and people. This was perceived as weakness by his father, Sarvarus. Worried his Son would be seen as a mistake, Sarvarus would force Sariel to train until his bones broke, To fight other children until they were bloodied, or to take from those who were weaker than he. When he refused? His punishments often were cruel such as being locked in a pitch black room or forced to fend for himself in the wilderness for days.
He wasn't allowed to be anything but a powerful authority to his peers, There was no room for a disgrace in the family. He was to become great, or become nothing at all. Sariel chose the approval of his family. He began to train hard, pushing his body to the limits. He sought to control those around him through fear as a child. Often leading a group of young "Thugs" to assert a sense of dominance. As he got older; even going so far as to kill for coin...
This eventually manifested into Sariel seeking to gain approval from his family. Whether it be his Father or many other relatives, he was eventually molded into an ideal member of the family. Sariel was eventually told the history of their ▇▇▇▇ before the Cataclysm, explained where they found their strength and their desire to regain what was once lost. ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ dabbled in dark and esoteric magics and alchemy, Seeking new and extreme methods to further their power as a whole. A generational curse of violence and darkness seemed to follow his bloodline.
Sariel now seeks to do what his father tasked him to do. His bloodline must become feared and respected once more. They must reclaim what was lost and to find a new path of power.

- Stoic | Sariel was raised to not show much emotion. Weakness was shamed in his family, so he hides his feelings well.
- Insightful | He had a gift when it comes to seeing the true intent of people. He can cleave through deceptions to reveal the truth.
- Cruel | Sariel may act with cruelty, often indifferent to the pains of others... Though... Sometimes this cruelty fades at times...
- Honorable | He has developed a sense of honor in the way he does things. In combat, he wishes to test the mettle of others.
- Loyal | A loyalty hard earned, but Sariel was not one to betray those who earned his respect and have proven to be reliable.
- Secretive | He often kept his cards close to his chest, as if it were second nature.
- Cunning | More dangerous than his ability in combat is his cunning. He seems to always plan ahead, expecting the unexpected.

- Failure | He fears being seen as a failure in the eyes of his family. Weakness is unacceptable and must be cut out.
- Detached | He is often detached from the things he does. Why this is, is unclear. But he is often seen as dispassionate.
- Inner Conflict | Something within him calls out and he does everything to push it away. There can be no weakness.
- Brokenness | There is something broken within him. A quiet soul, drifting through the world.
- Family Acceptance | The only thing he finds value in is being accepted by his family. Without that, its all for nothing.
