What is a Special Permission?

In general, a special permission in a role-playing context refers to an exception or unique allowance granted by moderators or administrators to a player. This could involve providing a character with specific information, abilities, or aesthetics that deviate from the standard rules or narrative. Special permissions are often used to enhance storytelling and character development, introducing customized elements to the role-playing experience. They can vary widely, from acquiring special knowledge through in-character events to gaining unique powers or features not typically available within the established game framework. Players usually request special permissions to add depth and uniqueness to their characters or to explore specific plotlines.

User's of a Special Permission, especially if they are considered a [teacher] they must take into account, in a reply to their own special permission, whom they are actively teaching, and who they taught. Secondly, any proof required/applicable to the learning of a new feat or ability must be provided in screenshots as additional replies to their own special permission.

An example would be, if a T3 Mystic had taught a special ability that does not exist on the Wiki, the individual who has been taught replies to their own Special Permission, with the screenshots of roleplay in a spoiler, then upon a reaction from the DM, they can add the ability to their roster via editing their original Special Permission thread.

Two types of Special Permissions

Category 1 (C1) Special Permissions:
C1 permissions are pertinent when no in-game bestowal has occurred, and a request is made to initiate specific story arcs. These requests undergo meticulous scrutiny, necessitating comprehensive information to ensure alignment with the overarching narrative and community standards.

Category 2 (C2) Special Permissions:
C2 permissions apply to individuals who have acquired information, abilities, or distinctive aesthetics through role-playing scenarios. These requests are evaluated with a more lenient approach, considering the creative and narrative aspects of the given context.
